Easter bookings at Pontin’s best for ten years

Easter short break bookings are up 40% year on year.

February Half Term bookings exceeded expectations – up 28%.

Ice Rinks and Fun Fairs on the Holiday Parks for Summer Season.  

Entertainment Offer significantly enhanced.

Pontin’s, the UK’s leading  entertainment and events business, is delighted to announce Easter short break holidays of 3 and 4 nights  are up 40% compared to previous years. In fact they are the highest recorded in the last ten years.                

February half term sales also beat expectations with an increase of over 28% compared to 2009. 

Chairman, Graham Parr:  “I am delighted with the performance of the business during the first quarter. This significant increase clearly demonstrates we are listening to what our guests want and consistently delivering.  The significant change in the type of holidays consumers demand and the popularity of the 3 or 4 night short break is definitely here to stay”.

World Cup and summer bookings are performing in line with expectations with a great line up of entertainment across the Parks. Pontin’s has always prided itself on providing outstanding entertainment, with stars such as Duncan James and Joe Pasquale.  Recent themed events have featured performances from superstars; Paul Young, Toyah Wilcox and the Original Bucks Fizz –featuring Cheryl, Mike and Jay.

Just some of the entertainment that is lined up in the coming months includes several X Factor stars such as Irish Singer Eoghan Quigg, Laura White, Austin Drage and the wonderful US contestant Ethan Boroian, all of whom have had several million hits on YouTube.  The fabulous brother and sister duo Same Difference will showcase an amazing new image across the Holiday Parks from  June and will also perform in concert with the fabulous and famous Bluecoat Road show team.  There will be some great entertainment from Bobby Davro (a recent Dancing on Ice contestant) and fabulous comic duo and BBC children’s show presenters, Dick & Dom.

In addition to the entertainment enhancements on the Pontin’s Parks, this summer season will see the introduction of  ice and roller skate rinks, coupled with big ride fun fairs for all the family to enjoy.  The Refurbishment and Improvement plan continues and will see enhanced fun  swimming pools and new spa facilities opening during the course of this year and next.
