Pontin’s Young Bluecoats 2010
Shane Richie Jnr, a former bluecoat himself, was part of the judging panel for the Grand Finals of Pontin’s Young Bluecoat 2010 when Emilie Sutcliffe (15) from Egerton Road, New Ferry, Wirral and Paige Alcorn-Clark (9) from Wivenhoe Road, Alresford, Colchester beat over 50 other finalists to become the Young Bluecoats for the coming year. They both received a trophy and the star prize – the chance to be a bluecoat for a week at February half term 2011 and their own own specially made uniform.
The Grand Final took place at Pontin’s Southport Holiday Park on 13th November where the contestants took part in a range of activities including balloon modelling, party dancing and gameshows to prove their ability to become Young Bluecoats.
Paige and Emilie both enjoy dancing, acting, singing and gymnastics. Paige also likes trampolining and Emilie wants to join a ballet school.
Guests at Pontin’s Holiday Parks next year will again have the opportunity to take part in the Young Bluecoat 2011 competition.
