“Due to outstanding value for money traditional British Holidays rain or shine”
Pontin’s, which was acquired in March this year by Ocean Parcs – an investment company headed by Graham Parr, is delighted to announce both its future summer bookings and year to date sales have increased. Bookings for the rest of the summer are up 10% year on year and sales year to date are up 2%.
Graham Parr, Executive Chairman: “It is a great achievement in such a short period of time to be able to announce increases in bookings and sales, the momentum increase since we took over has been stunning. This has purely been achieved by the team understanding its business and listening to our customers to ensure we give exceptional value for money holidays. In this day and age, with constant rising costs, this is clearly a demonstration that more and more people are choosing to revitalise the great British holiday and holiday in the UK by taking advantage of the outstanding value for money proposition that only Pontin’s offers.
“The increase in bookings has been tremendous for us after such a short period of owning the Pontin’s business. It is pleasing to note how many regular customers are coming back to our sites year on year and how many new customers are visiting us and planning to visit us to join in the great British summer party.”
“Our value for money proposition is not available to customers anywhere else in the UK or indeed overseas, that is why customers are opting to enjoy their British traditional holiday with us due to the fact that no one can beat us on value. They want to make their money go further and when you consider how strong the Euro is against the pound, the value of the Pontin’s pound takes a lot of beating”… continued Ian Smith, Chief Executive. “We have been looking at our product offering and ensuring that we deliver what our customers expect and with the offers that we currently have in place, there is not a better holiday destination around. People don’t want the hassles and stresses of the airport with delays and those last minute extra fuel surcharges. The current economic climate means people holidaying on a tight budget and facing rising costs have no hesitation in choosing Pontins. If you want outstanding value for money traditional British holidays rain or shine there is only one place to party – Pontin’s”…….continued Ian.
“The new owners have in a very short period of time re-vitalised this great British leisure brand, with their vision of capturing the burgeoning market for value and environmentally conscious holidays in the UK…” said Jason Brindle, Head of Sales and Marketing.
“Our biggest site can accommodate 3,500 people with exceptional conference facilities, ballroom and family entertainment facilities coupled with additional capacity with marquees. Our weekend wedding parties and special events have all been well received this year with many new special public and private events coming very soon. Our entertainment program increases month by month and we are delighted to have signed up three new acts to entertain our guests – singer James Stone; Comedian Craig Harper and Dance Act Vizage - all acts were finalists and appeared on The Britain’s Got Talent Show. We are also delighted to have secured singer - Ben Mills of The X Factor. Ben will be appearing at some of our sites during July and August. In fact there is something for everyone at our sites – whatever the age group – whatever your interest – you will not be bored if you come to Pontin’s for your value for money holiday….” continued Jason Brindle.
